. Shock and grief have engulfed the residents Mai Mahiu town after a middle-aged man was found dead in his house under unclear circumstances. Reports indicate that the pastor was not seen for two days before his body was found lying in the family’s home by a relative. The deceased was found locked in his house with the scene where the body was found appeared disturbed, an indication that he could have struggled before he met his death. It is alleged the pastor was involved in a police case with other parties over the ownership of a car. Police who visited the scene and retrieved it said that the body had severe injuries. Police are yet to establish the actual circumstances under which the pastor met his death. There are no arrests that have been made so far. Police appealed to the residents to cooperate with detectives and volunteer information which can assist in exposing the killers. The body was taken local morgue awaiting postmortem.
