The news posted by Kenya University and College placement services this week was dam sad !
What is cooking in our education system ?
Our form 4 Students are nt properly guided in their future careers choices

This should have been normalized many years ago. Leaving Tvet courses for the weakest is a self-defeating strategy for the country. The leading industrial countries ensure that their Tvet courses attract high potential trainees. Kitambo mtoto akivuta bangi unapeleka yeye anakuwa mechanic. Magari ya kisasa iko too complex you actually need to train the best students.

Mechtronics course is highly attractive course very competitive in tertiary institutions . Hiyo course is hot cake at JKUCAT and Kimathi University

Uhuru was not kenya government . The government policies were there before and after uhuru . New ones are being formulated
In 1995, The Nairobi we want forum under the late Mayor 'magic' Mwangi came up with what you refer to as Thika superhighway. Who implemented it ?
The current leadership can only influence or impose policies that can add a milestone to their manifesto....or to extreme decatate

So you want us to blame the current low secondary and university enrollment to Mayor 'magic' Mwangi ama what's your point?

Magic mwangi died many years ago
He had a vision . Which materialised years later !
Those leaders who mapped bypasses in Nairobi in early 70s had a vision. A leader must have a vision for the future generations. Uhuru lacked that vital leadership quality

Irrelevant degree courses at our university
Job market , very important. Ever since 2013 the tvet curriculum involved private sector ( the employers) who knew what they need out there.
The youngsters at form 4 are now enlightened and the still have a way to university with diploma qualifications.
This is the way to go in our education sector. Remember we still need to have university education right at various entrance levels ( relevance is the key word )
