The problem may be graduating with unemployable/not in demand skills. As you may have noticed in my earlier post I said those with technical skills.
Nonsensical arguement. A poorly governed country has never and will never be able to absorb its educated population. What skills does a fully qualified accountant need? Accounts is accounts-CPA/KASNEB isn't redundant; what skills do our doctors need other than professional empathy; our medical courses are not redundant; what skills does a qualified actuary need; our actuarial courses are not redundant!!
Let's look at technical skills that you claim:
a) Is a young man and woman supposed to tell the government to review its STEM related courses so that they match the required regional and global skills or
b) Are they supposed to do national research before choosing a course
c) There was a time Land Economists were highly valued especially during Kibaki's time..now despite all the infrastructural projects coming up, you don't here their demand any more
Poor leadership has a way of explaining their incompetency i.e. by blaming everything else in life the shape of clouds...
