The devices
shelly 1pm is the one inside the switch and the other is just your everyday socket energy meter
Then there is TOMZN DDS238 thats mounted in the consumer unit, this can measure whole house consumption or individual circuits e.g lights, shower, sockets, cooker
The two are smart and connect to your phone via wifi,
shelly 1pm other than just being a smart switch & meter, can also be used to automate switching tasks. Its an iot device
I have put an auto off for the pump, once switched on it only runs for 45mins.
The TOMZN app looks like this
This is just a meter but can be coupled as an input to a relay.
So the results for my house look like this.
I will move CT sensor of the TOMZN meter in the consumer unit to only monitor instant shower circuit and then lights circuit, in 3 or so weeks mtapata full report bila estimates.
Kutoka hapa sasa I can design solar system customised for my energy use and file it away till I move to my own house.
From this you can see water heating a/cs for 67% of my electricity consumption, so solar system bila water heating huwa upuss unless unaishi back of beyond where there is no KPLC grid
