Another winner here is the introduction of the SSD, the timing is very good as ssd technology has matured, the price is not ideal but the advantages of ssd's for gaming are clear. Gaming in general follows a read heavy data access pattern, once the game is downloaded and written to disc most of the operations are just game files being read, apart from save game files being written of course, ssd are not very good at heavy writes because they degrade faster but they shine when it comes to reads, this sounds like a perfect match for consoles, let's see how the reviews turn out.
