IFTIN POLICE STATION.
SUBJECT : RECOVERY OF ILLICIT FIREARMS/AMMUNITION.
Refer my OB 08/11/12/2021 at about 0430hrs.An intelligence led operation duped Fyeka Magaidi sec.pol.2/8/vol111/57 mounted by a multi agency team comprising KPS, DCI, APS, ATPU, QRU and Prison Warders led by the SCPC Garissa, I/C CIPU and the SCCIO proceeded to Bulla Noor area within Iftin ward among other areas ,10 km East of the station in a bid to recover illegally possessed firearms. A house to house search was conducted and one house was found to have been locked from outside. Based on the intelligence the officers broke the door to gain entry. A search yielded into the following;
three AK47 rifles of serial numbers.
1.17054436.
2.M 133116.
3. 586091
With four fully loaded Magazine capacity of 30 and two loaded with 14 each
4. FN Rifle s/no 5103198 with two magazine loaded with 16 rounds and 19 rounds respectively.
5. 33 rounds of 7.62x39 mm ammunition in a red carrier bag
6.40 litres of Gun oil
7.4 councilment masks
8.Kenya National I'd card No 6383073 bearing the name of Mohamed Salat Abdile.
9.ID waiting card S/no 2517562591 bearing the name of Abdifatah Mohamed Salat.
10.Safaricom SIM card number 0790673175.
11.KANU membership card number 6385073.
12.one copper wire.
13. one jungle belt.
14. Two mattress covered with a jungle cover.
15. One spear and two iron rods. 3 suspects found hovering around the vicinity of the house were arrested for interrogation, namely 1.Aftin Bishir Mohammed aged 45 yrs.2.Aden Mohammed Abdullahi aged 42 yrs and 3. Ahmed Irshad aged 35 yrs. All placed in cells pending interrogation. The scene was also visited by CPC, CCIO and CIPU County commander garissa.The scene was processed by CSSI and exhibit collected for further investigation. Case P.U.I. DCI Garissa dealing.
