Wana mutheri. Which Government can do without permanent Civil Servants with all the needs for continuity and deep knowledge of protocol?

Interesting thought. Is it better to have an almost guaranteed but lower income to retirement, or to have in demand skills that give you an irregular but high income?
With the former you have an easier time getting loans to fund other projects due to predictability, but you are tied to a full time job. With the latter, you have much more freedom, flexibility and earning potential, but comes with more risk since you are dependent on dynamic market forces, and generally you have to work much harder

Before joining the government, I worked in the civil society, I agree with you assured continuity of income is best at a young age, but after investing and having a passive income, contractual engagement is best for this middle aged person. My two pesos kiongozi.

The Kenya Kwisha Brigade is hellbent on plundering, pillaging and undermining the Constitution in a massive way.
They are not stupid to know that the only people who can divulge their illicit indulgences are the Career Civil Servants who are permanent Government’s employees even with change of Guard in Government.
Which is why they plan on giving contracts which will suit their dates in Office and also who they can dictate to thereby removing their independence.
This is not forgetting the fact that they would want to weed out all would be whistle-blowers from Civil Service and put up their stooges and cronies.

All unions will have a reason to join the mother of all strikes, I too think Kuria is bluffing, there's sth fishy going on or about to happen and they need us distracted with petty stuff.
