ION, if hawks, eagles and other birds of prey keep eating your chicks, paint the chicks blue with a water-colour.
And if you have a problem with monkeys eating your crops, like Muranga people do, catch a couple and paint them red with 'rangi ya mafuta'. Monkeys within a 10km radius will take off for the hills because in their imagination the red monkeys will be true demons from hell. The faster the scared monkeys will run, the faster the red devils will race after them to catch up with their old troop, sparking more terror. Zitakimbia mpaka Congo...................
