Matatu Fuel Hike Strike on Thika Road.

I am hearing and reading fununu of a psv and potentially private vehicles strike happening from noon, with vehicles being parked on Thika Road.

While this will cause significant economic damage, it is much needed and if my jalopy wasn't relatively expensive I would have joined in. Let them park those githurai tetanus wagons instead.

Additionally, something that might have passed scrutiny in this senate, the economy re-basing. So, the report suggested that the GDP shrunk but somehow also grew from 9 to 11 trillion. Looks like someone wants an excuse to increase the debt ceiling and add more debt. For what reason, I don't know. We are already paying for it with this fuel hike.

At such a time when we borrow to pay loans, we have no other option except to borrow more, till when we'll cut the budget deficit and reduce our expenditure. How long can it take? Maybe a systematic reduction of the budget for the next 5-10 yrs.
Nayo story ya fuel sjui ata mnalia nini. This fuel will soon hit 170-200. Global oil prices are at $75 per barrel. Next stop at 80, then at 120. Ikifika ka ya 2009, petrol tutauziwa 300

All these taxes were effected when tangatangans were busy licking uhuru's asses. But now they'll be crying crocodile tears when we will also be crying

Why are they protesting along Thika Road? They should do it around parliament

The landing cost of fuel is around 62 bob. The government through the parliament then adds the taxes to make the fuel retail at134 bob.

Tanga tanga regularly boast that they have numbers in parliament. Can those numbers come in and assist Wanjiku by reducing the fuel taxes.

You said it right there. Instead of delaying current projects the government increased the deficit and started new 'Uhuru Legacy' projects.

Upuss of the highest order instead of focusing most of the resources to the pandemic. Ata zile vaccines mnadungwa are donated to us.

Washana BBI iliangushwa. The biggest elephant is someone lying they'll give unimaginable sums of money to peasants to start business

It is still in play, Uhuru and Raila should rally their people to protect Kenyans against unfriendly taxes

We cross the bridge when we reach there.

But that would have been a plus for Tanga Tanga where they would have told the hustlers that if it was Ruto, then he would have assented
I wonder if Ruto will not be accused yet again of disrespecting and going against the president. It is a lose-lose for him. In his shoes I would just make a similar speech as he did at Karen once BBI failed. Continue urging the government to focus on the big 4.

doesn't need to, paliarment has a tool to checkmate presidential assent
It does but any intervention by DP and his allied parliamentarians would represent the first direct action of him going against his boss. Are we, is he ready for the consequences of that? Is it worth it for him to be seen directly going against the president?
