He understood well that the outside world has no solutions for Africa except parasitic 'partnerships' at the expense of Africans. And he despised the West a great deal and openly. His anger is understandable given the huge burden Tanzania shouldered in the liberation of Southern Africa, Namibia, and Zimbabwe, countries whose occupiers were supported by the West. His only outside visits were in East and Southern Africa.
