Earlier today, I had a need for a USB to HDMI cable. I had no idea where to get it from, or the cost. In such circumstances, I rush to Jiji to get an idea of the cost, then pass by those shops opposite Bebabeba and look for the item. I planned to get the cable tomorrow.
Note that I did not search on Google.

While checking Klist this evening, I see this ad

So, how did KList know that am looking for this cable?

Google Analytics at work. Site admins use Google Analytics to know their audience (age, gender, location, size, devices used etc). GA does a fine job of fingerprinting and tracking you across multiple sites.

Use browsers with tracking protection like Firefox, Edge, etc if that bothers you.
