Why do you think Britain expends resources to collect such intelligence? To ensure people who might act against its interests are sabotaged before they grow too big. That tells you they are still in charge, via bluetooth. On a different note, during my childhood, there was a myth doing rounds that when Kibaki was operated on, they discovered that he had the most 'akili' the doctors had ever seen. I guess this myth originated from the 1976 operation, plus his contemporaries were mostly villagers, which made him stand out. Much much later, when a certain Dr. Karanja was appointed the vice president to replace Kibaki, things did not go down well for him. Dr. Karanja could not hide the contempt he had for his colleagues, who in turn sabotaged his political career.
