Kibaki's greatest failure was not slaying the beast of corruption once and for all immediately he took power. Kenyans were ready for it, the mood was palpable. Nyayo was finally gone with all its ills. Kenya would be a country for kenyans. Instead he gave in to the mt kenya mafia and soon enough we started hearing of more corruption scandals.

He is the best president so far because of reasonable economic policies that lifted many out of poverty, but wasn't perfect.

With corruption gone, competent people can rise to positions of influence and things like road construction become minor challenges
