Kenya expected to get access to Covid-19 vaccine in 2022 - inforgraph

The Economist Intelligence Unit has projected that Kenya will get access to Covid 19 vaccines in 2022.

In a report published in their website, the EIU stated that rich countries will get access to Coronavirus vaccines earlier than others.

America is expected to get its first vaccine between September 2021 to March 2022

Australia is expected to get its first access between September 2021 and June 2022

Kenya, Tanzania and Southern part of Africa is expected to get access to the vaccine in 2022

Nearly the whole of Africa to get vaccine from January 2022 to April 2023.

Currently, Kenya is researching on its own vaccine in conjuction with Oxford university and Wellcome Trust at Kemri ni Kilifi county.

In a press conference, Health CAS Mercy Mwangangi said over 60,000 Kenyans had registered for a Covid-19 vaccine trial and once the research and ready and done with, the full report will be released to the public.

Today, the country recorded 394 new Covid-19 cases bringing the total to 92, 853
