KDF Chopper crash lands

Nameless

There is a very big difference between kenya police force and Kenya Defence Forces. The one that crash landed the other day was a police chopper, this is KDF, specifically Kenya Army.

At one time or another, a chopper may experience mechanical failure and come down hard. This doesn't mean KDF is incompetent.

This is the only MD500 crash in recent history for machines that date back to the late 70's-early 80's. For them to have survived this long is testament to the maintenance they have been undergoing since then.
He said Kenyan choppers

He said Kenyan choppers
He also said its just a month since the other one crashed.

Just because two have crashed in temporal proximity to each other doesn't mean all Kenyan helos have a problem.

Even private choppers crash but we may never get to hear about them.

Do these machine

Do these machines have parachutes ?

One safety procedure helicopters use is auto-rotation and a pilot can land a helo without engine power. However, mechanical failure or pilot error can mess this up.
Mzito,

Every time a chopper crashes, you unleash this theory. Truth is that it' like talking of a jetliner 'gliding' to the ground: the conditions must be perfect, and the pilot - like Scully - must have 99% confidence and nerves, and just 1% luck.

Tumebakisha ngapi? :D
