That's for the living. It's the best way they could send him off and cope with it. I would let them be.
Kinda but it's a very one visioned way of sending people off.
In my opinion let someone be buried the simple way, then do something in their honor.
Kujenga hivi sio sustainable.
Sooner or later everyone gets forgotten and only gets remembered depending on the impact they had, good or bad.

I find those issues cultural and personal to even comment on specifics. However, we could adopt more sustainable ways of disposing ourselves once we die. I will mandate my family to cremate my remains. But they don't have to do it if they don't want. It will be their ceremony, its they who will be dealing with grief or lack of it. I won't have any recourse if they make a different decision.
