Murder is the unlawful premeditated act of killing human being by another.Today some group of people are shocked by the release of Joseph kinyua Murimi the suspect of the late Velvine Nangari Kinyanjui a 24year old student at Kenyatta University, Joseph kinyua Murimi has been released on a 200,000 cash bail by chief magistrate Patricia Gichohi who also issued a command to Joseph to always be reporting at Kiambui police station every Thursday of the week.The late Velvine Nangari Kinyanjui was a waitress in Kiambui area of Kiambui county. February 23,2020 two days after the two had met, Joseph picked Velvine at Kirigiti and they both went to a restaurant in Kahawa west known as Q west where the two had humble time together,later on they went to Kijito restaurant on Kamiti road before later heading to the Sinnot hotel where they booked a room,as could be captured by the Sinnot CCTV the two collecting the room keys at around 9pm.At 10:30pm Joseph kinyua Murimi informed the attendant at Sinnot Hotel that he could not sleep as he was a married man with a family thus leaving Velvine behind in the unlocked room as he drove home.The following day the late Velvine called a female friend requesting her to come pick her and get her to a nearby hospital.She was taken to Kenyatta Teaching and Referral hospital before her friends proceeding to Kiambui police station to report the case.The late was treated for spinal related complication and cervical fractures for few day at the hospital.The suspect was arrested and charged with rape,he was the released on a 100,000 cash bail as the case was still under investigation.9th March 2021 Velvine Nangari Kinyanjui passed on while undergoing treatment,this made the DCI detective based in Kiambui to take over the case from the police.Velvine was buried on March 17 2021.
