Yes. For AZ, the second dose is 8wks after the first;UK has been giving it after 12wks. For Pfizer, the second is 3wks after the first.
It is recommended that the second dose be of the same type as that which you got for the first dose.
Is it immunization?

Doctor Rootha, niko na swali. The purpose of the vaccine is to trigger an anti-Covid response from your immune system, yes? So, kama mtu ameshapata Covid na akapona, inamaanisha mwili yake imeshafanya kazi ya vaccine. So kuna haja ya kuchukua vaccine tena?

Imefanya lakini haijamaliza bado.

Some of those who’ve technically recovered from COVID19 have been left with long term often debilitating signs and symptoms such as fatigue, breathlessness, etc that are now called long-Covid.

Guess what? It’s now emerging that about 30% of those with long-Covid symptoms that have been vaccinated have experienced resolution of their symptoms! Tuko pamoja hadi hapo?

Remember these vaccines have been licensed under what’s called emergency use which means that some of their aspects are still under clinical studies even as they come into widespread use, for instance matters relating to safety and use in teenagers and children, expectant & lactating mothers, and now matters relating to those who’ve recovered from actual Covid infection are still under study with promising results.

The emerging ‘conclusion’, albeit unofficial as yet, is that one needs to wait at least 4wks post-recovery before considering vaccination. As to whether one will require one or two vaccine doses, we await the outcome of the studies.

The vaccines themselves are as novel as COVID19 infection.

Not a doctor but the immune response so far seems to only last for a few months. Reinfection is actually a thing cc: Irungu Kangata

There’s some research result that was released today that shows that protection by the Pfizer vaccine lasts about 6 months.
