I'm new to importing...can you show me the ropes? I want the Axela too.
You won't learn much to insulate yourself from risks by listening to someone online. You need to find a friend, relative etc who has gone through the process to hold your hand through everything. There are so many things you would need to know that I might not be able to cover here.

I have been complaining about this trend for years, and even reported hundreds of brokers on the site, but the company will take no action because these brokers are paying. Unfortunately, the false advertisers crowd out real businesses and cause customers not to trust the site. Today, many people will not trust the adverts they read owing to past experiences where you visit a stall only to be told an item you had seen moments earlier is not available. Similarly, real businesses are shying away from advertising on the site because they cannot see the benefits. When searching for any popular item, the first 100 or so results will be from brokers who don't stock the item, with most of the postings being duplicate adverts. One very notorious group operates from the family bank building, stall 45, on river road.

It is very easy for the company to stop such trends by making use of customer feedback. Interestingly, sellers can block this feedback from appearing in their pages. Even where the feedback appears, the company refuses to publish negative feedback. It will take time before the company feels the effects of their policies. That said, the site has had a positive effect in democratizing the retail space and bringing down prices of various merchandise. I have been wishing to see a rival site come up to set better examples.
Have never had a bad experience with jiji, even when I go to a shop and the item isn`t there, wanasema ngoja kidogo niilete. It`s the same item at the same price. What's wrong with that?

I have sampled hundreds of people, and that is the experience. My experience as an individual is immaterial. What matters is the bigger picture.
