It's not Working, Let's Lockdown Again

You are totally wrong. Most of the people advocating to just stay at home and not go out and earn a living are those whose livelyhoods have not been affected.

They are angry at the common man for trying to make their lives better. And because of this they are looking at the news everyday and wondering why are people not dying as much as they are predicting....to them they are waiting for the day they start announcing mass deaths so they can tell people "i told you" and brag about how right they were.

You are one of those people always calling Kenyans imbeciles and bonobos just because they do not share your world views and do not agree with you always. Nobody here is going to kiss your ass just because of a few insults here and there.
Last proper earnings I had was in March. I just wish we'd go back to life as it was pre-covid. My assertion is simple. Since herd immunity has been proven not to work, let's all adhere to the directives in order to control the virus.

Do you personally wear a mask?

And you wonder why Africans are considered imbeciles by other races.... Right here you have the evidence.

@bigDog one idea I have is that some of these trolls are bitter losers who would love to see death and suffering on a Biblical scale just to get the psychological relief that 'everybody' was losing and not just them.

You can never win or instil sense in them - ni wale watu huingia public choo safi wanapaka ukuta mavi. Totally damaged individuals.
You should be brave not crying everyday that people do not share your myopic world view

I understand that everyone needs to survive. We should open up as soon as possible. However, out people took opening up to mean that the danger is over. I bought a few hand washing water tanks for a neighbouring community and I can tell you that no one is using them. I see 'nosers' everywhere, people wearing a mask but only covering their mouths. Others just don't care and are walking around without masks.

When I tell you that all ICU beds are full, i mean exactly that. What will happen when this disease spreads to rural areas where a health center is miles away? I have worked in healthcare and our priority has always been saving lives. Saying that shutting down will kill people by hunger is exaggerating. Show me a family that's dying of hunger right now. This is just middle class and rich people who feel that their lifestyle is threatened.

Ni ujinga. I no longer work in health care but I have very close relatives working there na siyo kuzuri. People fail to understand that our health care system is not meant for so many cases that this pandemic will cause. We will have to ration health care for ALL CASES. you can't get a hospital bed at Mbagathi for your diabetic mum because the hospital is full of covid-19 patients. If you have a road accident today, you can't get to ICU because all of them are occupied by covid-19 patients. You just die in the ordinary ward.

Agha Khan has 14 ICU beds, which are full. HDU has 10 beds that are full. People are getting intubated in other wards. You heard of rich people building their own ICU facilities in their own homes? Do you think the lady doctor who died at AGUH was fake news?

I'm just saying, stop propagating gavament lies, you know Kagwe practices PR right?

Atleast you are still getting some earnings and have not been kicked out of your home if you are renting...there are lots of people who have been kicked out. My problem is with the lockdowns and people advocating to just stay at home and do nothing. When it is damn obvious that the elite are parambulating everywhere without following those same government directives just because they have money.

Although I advocate for use of masks and washing hands/sanitising in interactions, you sir are a scaremonger, why should I have a facemasks while walking alone? Opening of the economy is a breath of fresh air, people were suffering, calls for assistance were the norm, that has changed with the opening up.
The 1% who are detached from the suffering of the masses, will always advocate for closing up.
While saying that, their is laxity by members of the public and agencies tasked with the directives on usage of facemasks and handwashing, this has been driven by a neighbouring country where everything is still normal even after doomsday predictions by the everyone.
All in all I am in a mask and will wash my hands time and time again.

You need to be very scared of this disease. If we got the whole community very scared about this disease, we could bring it under control. This disease is airborne. I don't understand what you mean by walking 'alone' but the guidance is that if there are other people, you need to wear a mask.

I don't know what's happening in TZ, because Megafool shut down testing before Kamwana and also shut down the media. I know a few Tanzanians and I promise that they have the same DNA like you have and suffer diseases like we do. They die too.

Two things, it is good you have donated the tanks, that is commendable. For the icu beds, how much has the government recieved to date in billions? How much have they eaten to fill their stomachs? Shouldn't your anger be directed at the government?

I wonder what your stand would be if you are the one who lost your job and had no income to talk about.

I have relatives in Arusha and Kilwa and they are claiming everything is okay. But since I deffer to medics more, wearing masks WHEN I HAVE COMPANY isn't an option, but it will hang on the neck while taking my evening walk.

I'm seething with anger about what this government has failed to do. They should have deployed lab technicians with sufficient testing kits to cover every hotspot. Hire more people to do contact tracing, quarantine hotspots. They have sacrificed lives for money.

Megafool has gagged the media in TZ. You cannot expect to get accurate information from a random area in TZ. Hii ugonjwa haijafika my rural sub-county.

It is already too late for people have traveled everywhere and covid is everywhere now, now unless we lock down the whole country which is same as no lock down. People who work for govt and old guys with savings are for lock down while the our youths are hustling to pay rent and feed themselves. Lock down is like killing one group of the population to save another group, there is a limit at which we can protect ourselves from covid and I believe mandatory lock down is way above that limit.
