Now I understand why some uncles claimed the wepesi's were uncomfortable....the 3rd row was juakali retrofitted.
Our 504 wepesi was the proper High Roof GR with sunken footwell. Doing Nrb - Meru, Nrb - Eldy and Nrb - Ksm routes.

I'm a poor story teller but just afew highlights.

1. lost gearbox (had 6 neutrals) & exhaust after hitting pothole very hard..blame Moi not maintaining Nakuru road.
2. dere fell asleep, hit pothole & lost control flew into some bushes around Mau Summit - only damage was loose battery terminal
3. Pale Lanet junction - front right wheel locked up, vehicle turned around ended up facing direction we came from (Nkr town)...same sh*t happened on a Peugeot 404 too.
4. lost rear windscreen during K.U riots in early 00's
5. lost rear windscreen again at Githurai 45 due to stoning.
6. bank robbery had just occured around Kenyatta Avenue - cops drew guns on us (getaway car happened to be a 504 too)
7. supu ilimwagika kwa boot tukienda harusi in 2001. Gari ikiuzwa 2013 ilikuwa na hio harufu bado.
