Na pia tunajua PCR Tests are highly flawed and unreliable. Trust me, if you're assymptomatic so far, you'll have a hell of a story to tell about your adventures in quarantine. So be brave!!

He he. I have experience ya quarantine, lakini hizo zingine nilikua the other side of the fence. Hii kitu ukiambiwa uko +ve you cannot appeal for a second test. Those results are uploaded into a government portal immediately. Inabidi TU utii.

Niko poa chief. With PCR, they put a swab deep in your nose or throat to obtain a sample. This sample is then used to detect virus's genetic material. I don't know how the lab machines work... All I know is that it's quite unpleasant.

But the sample s/he collects is on the surface meaning it can be foreign from the air you breathe .As a layman I thought isolation happens when you test positive and you also have symptoms . @Luther12 saidia Mimi kuelewa .

Isolation is for anyone who tests +ve.
Those with (serious/ severe) symptoms are isolated in hospital, the others on home-based care.

Genetic material is contained inside the cell. That means I must somehow lyse the cells to access it.
