One of the greatest sons of Kenya, it is sad to see that he is yet to accept that Uhuru spoilt his chance and probably duped him too. I wish 'The Enigma' well.
The greatest lie being told is that Uhuru spoilt Raila's chance. Even if Raila ran without Uhuru's support, he wouldn't have won. There was no Uhuru support in 2007, 2013 and 2017.

The greatest lie is people believing Uhuru spoilt Raila's chance.
You might be correct but speaking personally, Raila lost my vote by teaming up with Uhuru.
And that didn't happen after the handshake which actually helped stabilize our nation but came about with the advent of the ridiculous BBI movement.

Damn. Must be the umpteenth and hopefully last time I'm telling y'all that I voted for Ruto only because Kigame, my favourite candidate was barred from contesting and Raila, who'd have been an exciting wildcard, being a puppet stooge for Ouru.
And I do not regret that decision one bit.
No wonder I revel at the chance to call out on any bullsh1t displayed by the current regime while equally giving props where due.

Quite valid reasons for voting for Ruto.

This was today and the denial stage of grief is very much visible.

I hated this dude for the longest. Kwanza after he led the 41-against-1 campaigns in 2007 I could have killed him if we met in a dark alley.

As long as I live I will never forget that picture of a cucu, now deceased, crying with her hands held above her head, one holding a shoe, outside the Kiambaa church (Kales, we have some unfinished business, trust me).

But time heals everything.

During the last elections, I just saw an old man who prolly just wanted to leave a legacy. I voted for him. We lost, and the Chetrera 4 once again tried to burn the country.

Since August I am returning to my default settings and though I no longer hate Baba, I am increasingly seeing him as an irritant we can do without. He needs to give it a rest.

Very well put.
The general election felt very much like a throw of the dice.

In fact, as many other millions naïvely believed, we had resigned to the fact the 'The System' would hand Rao victory on a platter. It is very much likely that Ruto won fairly and that is a testament of how far we've come as a nation in terms of having free and fair, yet not perfect elections.

Heck, even Trump still feels cheated in the supposedly biggest democratic election in the World while some of us still believe that Al Gore had his victory stolen in Florida during the US Election of the year 2000.

Critical question now is on how we respond to the current regime regardless of how we voted individually.

Totally agree with you.

I may not have voted for Ruto, but I would want him to succeed. If he does, my beloved Kenya wins. Which is why Raila should not return us to Teargas Tuesdays. We all lose.

So far, in my view, Ruto is scoring only 40pc, and that's largely because of the launch of Hasra Fund and the fertiliser subsidy.

His appointments on the other hand are downright crazy. Wambui. Waititu. Kariuki. It's like a collection of gangsters. Also, he talks of cutting down while he appoints the biggest govt since 2008.

And there's that small problem of him and his wife nabii-ing too much (no shade to you bro).

40pc. And I think I am being generous.
