yes, trick ni ununue from trusted brands, avoid the cheap china imported brands. And get gauge 28 and below, 26 if you can afford, and ensure the delivered product is what was purchased. A micrometer screw gauge itasaidia wewe.
Minimum roof pitch should be 15° or else water will pond

Go for products in the premium bracket or thereabouts, they give better value in the long-term. Avoid products made using Indian-sourced materials, there is always something wrong with them. If you inhabit an area with unusual aerosols or dust load, you may want to find some way of separating the first few liters of collected rain water as it may contain too many impurities, which might contaminate the rest of the water. I am not sure about the safety aspects of the various brands but Decra has been vetted by WHO as safe for drinking water. Lastly, most harmful chemicals taken in minute amounts kill you slowly. You may not need to be too keen as other factors are more likely to take you out sooner.
