I am not a Futurama fan .
I was going through a post on a telegram channel and spotted the below .Is a Prado 2.7l petrol this thirsty ?
The last time I saw such a figure was on highly modded Mitsubishi Evo 10 with the lows of 4.5km/l

Buda, where I'm sitting there's a car that'll give you 2 km per litre depending on what shoes you're wearing, and two bikes that'll do 2k to Thika and back.
Why are you making noise?
😁😁

Basi you must have a heavy foot. Long distance yangu na skyline 2.5 v6 I get 11 - 12 kpl Nairobi to vihiga which is past kisumu. Na sio ati am driving pole pole. I normally drive 140 - 160 kph unless kuna traffic nyingi.

1.I guess the aerodynamics might contribute to the difference.
2.Skyline and Xtrail have almost same kerb weight 1600kg - so you have better power to weight ratio.

There was a discussion on the same somewhere, can't recall. This Prado 2.7 and the Pajero 2.8 are under-powered for vehicles their size. This results in the drivers having to floor the accelerator to get them to move, resulting in poor fuel economy.

The commenters was also saying if you're going to get a Prado/Pajero, get one with a 3.4 to 4.0 1KD or 1KZ/3.0 or 3.2 DID if you want to enjoy those vehicles.
