Man impregnates his 13-year old daughter after raping her repeatedly in Kigumo.
DCI officers have arrested one Ephram Kimani in Kigimo who is said to have repeatedly defiled before impregnating his 13-year old daughter.
It is reported that the Head teacher of Gatumbi Primary School noticed changes in the girl and took her to a hospital where she was confirmed to be six months pregnant.
The class five pupil upon inquiry narrated how the father had slept with her severally since July 2020.
The minor is currently under the care of a children's officer at a rescue centre in Muthithi,while the suspect already in custody awaiting trial.

Ethical reporting of issues affecting children in difficult circumstances and victims of sexual offences does not allow exposing the minors or describing their circumstances so that one can know who they are. There are so many things wrong with this report.

Yeah, doesn't make sense to put her in protective custody and then announce to the world who she is and where to find her. Double victimisation.

Hapa sijui kama you are right. The minors name is not mentioned. Mentioning the dad's name may be contentious but you can be sure the entire constituency already knows the story, so no harm done..

The moment you identify the parent by name you have already exposed the child...the village knows she's her father's 13 year-old. The whole idea of concealing her identity is to prevent the stigma of villagers pointing her out in the village paths which might end up making her withdrawn from society ...

I was wondering from a "purist" point of view.... The strength and reach of English is due to its adaptibility and assimilation of other tongues.
