Fascism in the Education sector: Magoha bringing classism in education.

If it was not already obvious that some children were not being given a fair chance to succeed,Magoha now makes it the more clear. Certain elite subjects to be offered to the rich only.

You've re-interpreted what is in the article in too liberal a manner. Even with the current curriculum don't students specialize some specific subjects in their last two years of high school?

How many times have people complained of the uselessness of some of the subjects they learnt in school - especially those who complain about math and sciences and end up developing a dislike for formal education as a whole.

I see this as a step in the right direction since by that age you generally know your aptitudes - whether you are more inclined to sport, the arts or the sciences. Maybe the more well read or multi-talented should be provided a path where they take up multiple paths if they can handle the additional workload. I've always felt Kenya is long overdue for sports academies.

It is inevitable that some schools that are better equipped will be able to offer more paths than others.

Finally, I'm a proponent for lifelong learning. You are not confined to what you learnt in school. You can always follow alternate paths to reach a particular destination.
