The 2021–22 Premier League will be the 30th season of the Premier League, the top English professional league for association football clubs since its establishment in 1992. This will be the third season to use the video assistant referee (VAR) review system.[1] It will be the second season to have a February winter break.[2] The start and end dates for the season were released on 25 March 2021,[3] and the fixtures were released on 16 June 2021.[4][5]

Manchester City are the defending champions, having won their fifth Premier League title during the previous season.

Teams
Twenty teams will compete in the league – the top seventeen teams from the previous season and the three teams promoted from the Championship. The promoted teams are Norwich City, Watford (who both return to the top flight after a year's absence) and Brentford (who return to the top flight after a seventy-four year absence).

This will also be Brentford's first season in the Premier League.[6] They replaced Fulham, West Bromwich Albion (both teams relegated after a year back in the top flight) and Sheffield United (relegated after two years back in the top flight).

KEY GAMES

Premier League champions Manchester City get their 2021/22 title defence under way at Tottenham Hotspur when the new season kicks off on the weekend of August 14.
It's a tricky opener to Pep Guardiola's quest for a fourth league title in five years, with Spurs looking to bounce back from an underwhelming 2020/21 season.

Meanwhile, newly-promoted Norwich City welcome Liverpool to Carrow Road, play-off winners Brentford host Arsenal, Champions League holders Chelsea have a London derby with Crystal Palace at Stamford Bridge, and Manchester United take on rivals Leeds United at Old Trafford in what looks set to be a fascinating curtain-raising round of fixtures.

The fast start to the season continues with Arsenal vs Chelsea the following weekend, August 21, before Arsenal travel to Manchester City and Chelsea face Liverpool at Anfield on August 28.

Man City visit local rivals Manchester United on November 6, but the return match at the Etihad marks the start of a potentially key run of games for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's men.

Title hopefuls United face Man City away on March 5, and then play Tottenham at home on March 12, Liverpool away on March 19, Leicester at home on April 2 and Everton away on April 9.

Liverpool go to Old Trafford on October 23, while the north London derby is scheduled for September 25 at Arsenal's Emirates Stadium and January 15 at Tottenham. The Merseyside derbies are November 30 at Goodison Park and April 23 at Anfield.

United and Chelsea meet at Old Trafford on the penultimate weekend before the season's final round of games takes place on May 22.

2)
For the first time in 17 months, capacity crowds will be allowed following the easing of coronavirus restrictions.

While Brentford - nicknamed the Bees - are competing in the Premier League for the first time, Watford and Norwich have both made quick-fire returns after being relegated in 2019-20.

Four clubs - Crystal Palace, Wolves, Everton and Tottenham - start the season with new bosses.

Manchester City, who finished 12 points clear at the top last season, have shown they mean business again by spending £100m on Aston Villa captain and midfielder Grealish.
The fee surpasses the £89m Manchester United paid to re-sign midfielder Paul Pogba from Juventus in 2016.

In addition, City have indicated an interest in Tottenham striker Harry Kane as they aim to win the league for the fourth time in five seasons under Pep Guardiola.

With the summer transfer window deadline 23:00 BST on 31 August,

Manchester United have spent £107m on England winger Jadon Sancho and France 2018 World Cup winning defender Raphael Varane.

Chelsea are interested in signing former United striker Romelu Lukaku from Inter Milan, while Arsenal have signed Brighton's England defender Ben White for £50m as the Gunners look to improve on last season's eighth place.

Liverpool, who have Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez back in contention after long-term injuries, have added defender Ibrahima Konate from RB Leipzig for £35m.

Elsewhere, Villa have spent a combined £83m on England striker Danny Ings, Argentine midfielder Emiliano Buendia from Norwich and winger Leon Bailey from Bayer Leverkusen.

FA Cup winners Leicester , who beat Manchester City in the Community Shield last Saturday, have added midfielder Boubakary Soumare from Lille for a reported £17m.

Tottenham have signed Argentina defender Cristian Romero from Atalanta for £42.5m.

Notable outgoings include Manchester City's Sergio Aguero to Barcelona, Chelsea's Olivier Giroud to AC Milan and Liverpool's Georginio Wijnaldum to Paris St-Germain.

The Premier League wants all clubs to trial Covid-19 ticketing measures before possible government-mandated passports.
Chelsea have announced fans will need to "provide evidence they are at low risk of transmitting Covid-19" to enter Stamford Bridge.

Despite criticism of the system from managers, VAR stays for 2021-22 but there have been adjustments.
Thicker lines will be used when using VAR to assess offside calls.

Last season there were several instances where a player's toe or armpit led to goals being ruled out, which fans and pundits felt was ruining the game.
The use of VAR will be 'dialled back', with officials told not to penalise "trivial things".

In the case of handball:
  • What is the hand or arm position in relation to body movement?
  • Is the body being made unnaturally bigger?
For accidental handball:
  • It is an offence if an attacker scores directly or immediately after the ball touches a hand or arm.
So the penalty Leeds conceded at Liverpool last September would now not be given, as Mo Salah flicked the ball off Robin Koch's knee and his arm.

Likewise, Wolves' Max Kilman would now not be punished for the handball that cost his side against Leicester as his arm would be deemed to be in a natural position.

For offsides:
  • Benefit of doubt for attacking sides now restored.
In addition, assistant referees have now been given greater scope to flag for clear offsides immediately, rather than delay in case they are wrong.

3) predictions for top 4

1628760589507.png

In terms of who will win it, City are favourites, with 13 votes. Chelsea get seven, while the highest anyone thinks United or Liverpool will finish is second. The overall predicted ranking gives a similar outcome.

What's your prediction?
I don't see the newly promoted teams being relegated in this season. They will fight their way to survive.

I know the likes of Sunderland too. But its rarely that you see all the promoted teams get relegated the very next year.
maybe.
but they will come with soo much pressure to win and remain in the league that they might burn out by mid-season. (lack of squad depth)
unless a team that survived last season has a bad season like Sheffield Untd did last season, i see all been relegated.

Brentford vs Arsenal (10pm)

1628876552823.png

Team news

Brentford expect to have striker Ivan Toney fit for the Premier League opener against Arsenal on Friday night.
Toney, who was the top scorer in the Sky Bet Championship last season with 31 goals, missed the final pre-season friendly against Valencia as a precaution over a neck problem.

DR Congo forward Yoane Wissa could be involved after completing his recent move from French side Lorient, but Denmark midfielder Mathias Jensen (foot) and Josh Dasilva (hip) remain unavailable.

Arsenal captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and fellow striker Alexandre Lacazette are both unwell and will not be available.
The Gunners could hand a competitive debut to £50m defender Ben White, while Albert Lokonga and Nuno Tavares may also make their Premier League bows.
Thomas Partey is out for the rest of the month after suffering an ankle injury in the pre-season defeat by Chelsea.

Opta stats
  • This will be the first league meeting between Brentford and Arsenal since May 1947, a match the Gunners won 1-0 at Griffin Park.
  • Arsenal have won just one of their six visits to Brentford in all competitions (D1 L4), though this will be the first such meeting since May 1947.
  • Brentford will be the 50th different team to play in the Premier League, and the 10th from London. Just 11 of the previous 49 participants have won their first ever game in the competition (D15 L23), while no side from the capital has won their first ever Premier League game (D5 L4).
  • When kicking off their Premier League season away from home, Arsenal are unbeaten in seven games (W5 D2) since losing 0-1 at Sunderland in the 2000-01 campaign. The Gunners began last season with a 3-0 victory away against promoted side Fulham.
  • Brentford against Arsenal is only the third ever game in Premier League history to be played on Friday the 13th - the other two games were in April 2001, with Bradford City winning 2-0 against Charlton Athletic and Leeds United beating Liverpool 2-1.

This season naingia betting. Leteni predictions niekelee kichwa. Ama what's the correct lingo.
ni hivyo but chunga.
betting ni addictive sana. mtu ushinda mara zaa kwanza then una anzaa kuloos na team moja before ujue, unatumia kitu 1k per day na hushindi kitu.

but trick ni low odds, high stake. weka game kidogo kaa mbili au hadi nne, but na pesa kubwa. (500 bob kupanda)
na championship, League 1 na 2 za England ndio watu uingisha doo. (weka over 1.5) but avoid Stoke ama weka under 1.5 kwao

mi sii Bazuu wa betting.
mi hubet for fun. nawekanga 200 natumia weekend mzima. (naeka 10 au 20 bob na teams kaa 16) though nimewahi shinda 9k kutoka 20 bob na 16k kutoka 50 bob. (games more than 12 each).
but siku hizi mi huekelea jackpots. (very tricky pia, maximum nimepata ni 10 out of 15 so hakuna hata bonus)

so sina insights mob za betting ni hizo nimesema na mi huona na kuskia watu wakisema kila place ata kwa redio time ya sports commentry.
but trick ni low odds high stake. na tumia teams kaa Bayern, PSG, Man city, ukitaka kushinda. (either over 1.5, ama goal-goal, ama weka Kichwa washinde game)

but note.

BETTING NI ADDICTIVE AND ONLY BET WHAT YOU CAN LOSE.
