Entrepreneurs and Young Hustlers

I watched the clip below from Grant Cardone. Apparently, the guy fired 44% of his employees. He is a real estate tycoon. Then I read the comments and I can see a bunch of angry ex-employees and I wonder what they expected. The economy is in the toilet and it is unclear how long this problem will last. If you are a businessman, you may have to fire a significant number of employees during the lockdown. What baffles me is that they take the job loss personally, as if Grant owes them a living. Every employee should know that he is dispensable at any time. Most get hired and get comfortable forgetting that their employer doesn't owe them a living. No sane employer will keep you on his payroll if your services are not needed.

while I agree wanabiashara should look at the bottom line, but some entrepreneurs / hustlers as you cal them are at times too quick to fire employees, it wouldn't hurt to take some time and see if things will turn around even if it means digging deeper. Loyalty is vital for proper functioning of most businesses especially young ones otherwise if employees are always on the move you will find it hard a business to grow.

Very true, people the new generation after out folks, are quick to release, before they get burnt, because we are selfish.
A few options are available but sometimes es the law makes it complicated if you chose to keep the employees.
Anyways during unknown situations like these both sides should come to the table and compromise.

most of us don't understatand employment from the employer's point of view. we also forget we are very replacable if the need arises. there is always someone desperate for a job, willing to do more or the same amount of work for less your pay, just to get on their feet. but this also doesn't mean you should set your self up for exploitation. But ukipewa kazi ichape as if its your business you are ranning and its success depends on your input. so that if it ever comes a time they have downscale, they will prefer to keep you and discard those who only come to play office wakingoja mshahara

Cost-cutting measure, I believe should precede firing employees but that is also a premise that should take into account the business model of an individual firm.
