Electricians in the house

Technically incorrect.
High voltage circuit breakers are used in a system with very high voltage such as power transmission lines. They are very complex but highly capable of minimizing overcurrent. To break the arc, these circuit breakers use different methods such as oil, air blast, carbon dioxide, or vacuum.

Technically incorrect.
A voltage drop caused by excessive current draw through the circuit breaker will cause the breaker to trip, not because of the lower voltage but because of a higher current (amperage) draw than the amperage rating of the circuit breaker. ... This will in turn trip the circuit breaker feeding power to the motor.

I disagree on the use of the word never....I know I've had a 20k+ repair bill and yet the house had circuit breakers.

Some electrical faults are extreme but Kenya Power usually knows about such and prepare to give the affected the run-around. If you are persistent, they will compensate you.
A sulfur hexafluoride circuit breaker uses contacts surrounded by sulfur hexafluoride gas to quench the arc. They are most often used for transmission-level voltages and may be incorporated into compact gas-insulated switchgear.

The trigger for the MCB is current, not voltage. Donge?

Install something called surge arrestor on each phase. Hiyo story yote umepewa hapo juu no kelele tu.
A surge arrester is a device to protect electrical equipment from over-voltage transients caused by external or internal events. Also called a surge protection device or transient voltage surge suppressor, this class of device is used to protect equipment in power transmission and distribution systems.

Sometimes back before the "El Icaweri familia" n uncle "Loot all" took gluttony to another level, you could sue KPLC for the damaged equipment. But saa hii wamefilisisha kampuni mpaka sai ukilipa deposit for new installation, wanatumia hiyo pesa for petty cash, ukifuatilia unaambiwa poles ziko but either meters or cables onge.
