Ditching Google services

Background story.
Before Google spread their tentacles to all our devices and data, I had been keeping up with the technology updates on how to manage your privacy.
Back then it wasn't a big deal if you didn't sign in a user account on your phone like these days.
Used to get alerts to sign in but I would ignore and it was all good.
Slowly but surely as android developed, the need to sign in became almost a must do, by the time we knew it, it would not be a big deal and every corner you go an email address is required.
What I have managed to keep at bay, is to never sign in to Google browser, avoid Google photos sync and just incase you must, then have a burner email for all these sign in requirements.
To summarize, lately I'm avoiding chrome and embracing Microsoft edge.
So far so good.

Google is notorious for cutting off users from their gmail account without any explanation, this is mainly handled by automated ai, and the appeal process is very painful. I decided to stay away from the major players by registering a personal domain which i control, it comes with some overhead but there is peace of mind especially with critical stuff. Microsoft isn't any better, they have tried hard to hide their monopolistic practices but they are slowly creeping in.
