Mentioning the name Paula always bring a rogue smile on my lips when I remember this petite damsel.
I met her purely by chance and she slithered her delicious poison deep in my black heart.

Back in the day I used to indulge in the frothy tar of alcohol we call Guinness, and with it I preferred secluded and little or no raucous music playing clubs in which to delve into my frothy glass.

My preference was for Club Soundd in City Square, the marvelous spot was unfortunately shut down. So I arrived alone on a Thursday night when I knew the Kareoke was full swing.
I pulled a velvet cushioned high backed stool next to the bar where the smoking section was, and politely requested for a chilled one and a packet of Dunhill.
Which were promptly served to me with a flourish, I settled in and listened to the song birds belt out their tunes.

Some were absolutely angelic while some were Idi Amin reincarnate and mercilessly butchered the songs, an hour or two later plus three more bottles in; this dark tonned, Pony tail hair styled, tall and classy lady took the stage.
She preferred Madonna's hits and selected 'take a bow' my interest was instantly aroused and I turned and gave her my full attention. She was absolutely gorgeous on the mic, such an angelic voice.. such grace.

After her touching performance she took her leave and I keenly watched till I saw her seated amongst a bevy of beautiful African lasses.
