I know there are crop scientists around these streets.
My question,does heat (warmth) stimulate root growth plants. Planning to use chicken poop as manure but the chickenshit generates heat in copious amounts and I am worried it might 'burn' my crop.
Any help?

I am no scientist but I remember during my last visit to Wambugu ATC we were advised to mix soil and manure one to one for those gunia shambas.

Its not a gunia shamba, I am planting directly into the soil (the one to one formula might not work) and I only got chickenshit for manure.

Usiweke manure directly to the plant you'll burn the crops instead do this; kama hujapanda anything kwa shamba spread that manure kwa shamba yote, let it stay for some days then lima tena and plant your crops.

It only produces heat if it is not fully decomposed. If you feel some heat and foul smell, then decomposition is incomplete so give it some more time because if you use it that way then you may not like your crop growth,colour,health etc

Mix the manure first with soil before planting anythnk,then wait for some days and you can plant your vegetables.

Have you ever tried double digging?

First scatter the manure, then start ploughing again in a way like mixing the soil with the manure, leave it for days then you can plant your crops.
