Let me introduce the topic of the day:: Definition of an Argument.

Its formal disagreement about an issue. There is a pro side and a con side. The pro side is in agreement with the issue in question. The con side is in disagreement with the issue in question. In a formal debate the pro side is the Proposition and the con side is the opposition.

When you are trying to convince someone to to do something, you are using an argument. For example, convincing you child to make her bed. You want to be a more persuasive person.

Are you being serious? Convince your child to make her bed? That is a non negotiable law, hakuna kitu ya kuongea hapo, stop soothing kids

If you have to, build a house you can comfortably rent out to afford you rent elsewhere. It is a huge convenience when you are able to choose aspects such as climate, social amenities, road infrastructure, neighborhood etc to suit your current situation.
Unless your house is in highly diserable hood renting for the right price is a bit tricky.... I would rather build an apartment/flat that will be paying my rent.... azin spread the risk have tenants instead of tenant.

Mr Brown: Today, I want everyone to write about their biases. Then I will take your books to Miss Courtney for marking.

Nadim: Ooh blimey, am not understanding the question.

Su-Lee: According to Chairman Mao, it is the duty of every citizen to follow the biases of the People's Republic of China

Taro: For once, Japano and China are in agreemento

Giovanni: Professiri, let's write about something more interesting. Like girls.

Danielle: Yes Mr. brown, let us change the topic to something more interesting. Like sex...

Juan: Percava?

Jamilla: Let me continue my knitting.

Of late I am buying into the idea you don't need to own a house if you have a decent pipeline of passive income that can allow you to rent anywhere.... and big houses are nothing but a statement piece 😁 .
I am of a similar opinion but mine is primarily due to the feeling that buying a house worth 15-20m just to live in it and it's through a loan is tying up too much capital on a non-asset. However if you are very very liquid or you happen to pass by KEMSA during tender days then you can go the Garissa Governor's route

All of your beliefs should be based on reasons that are truthful.

There are two types of arguments, deductive and inductive arguments.

Every argument has two parts: premise(s) and a conclusion. The premise is the supporting reason or fact. You can have as many reasons as possible to support you conclusion. For example:
1. all humans are mortal,
2. @bigDog is a human,
3. so @bigDog is mortal.

That's a deductive argument. #1 and #2 are premises that lead to conclusion #3. All truthful premises must lead to a truthful conclusion. You can defeat the argument by proving that the premise(s) are wrong or the conclusion is not based on the premises provided.

We can also change something for a little fun;

1. A sample x of MCAs in the county assembly husalimiana.
2. @Meria is a member of the county assembly.
3. @Meria husaliamiana.

This kind of an argument is called inductive reasoning or an inductive argument.

One thing, if you have to convince your child to make his or her bed, its your parenting style that is in question.

two, an argument is not a debate, one is either wrong or right while a debate is based on a weighing that may tilt either way depending on the context and audience.

Critical thinking is more about reasoning together where you present your case and the team will let you know why your case is not as water tight as you may think it is in a logical manner.

Arguments are close minded and reasoning is open minded
