Am watching Citizen TV and they aired that piece on the booming coffins selling business. According to some of the vendors interviewed, they said that business has been picking for the last few weeks, like one Mr Mburu, A coffin seller in Thika says, he used to sell 10 to 15 coffins per day, now he's shipping out more than 100/day. Ms Awuor of Kenyatta Market says the trend is now worrisome even though business is picking. Another vendor whose identity was concealed says that they can attribute this to Covid because they request for full disclosure on the cause of death of the person being interred so that they can follow the M.o.H safety measures when handling a covid victim/ disposal of their remains.

A few years ago, I contemplated starting a funeral home somewhere along Nairobi naivasha highway, but my pals discouraged me. Someone did it.
I would be reach by now if I ignored them

This is the situation we were worrying about last year. Siyo kuzuri! For those idiots saying kila mtu atakufa tu, would it be fair to expedite your exit from this world? Would it be humane to let people from preventable causes? Supposing you had an accident, would it be humane to leave your to turn into a corpse just because you will die one day? Hell No! We do all we can to prevent that death. That's why we have hospitals.

For you covidiots, the health sector works best when they stop people from going to the hospital in the first place. Hospitals like many other resources are scarce. That's why we occassionaly have vaccination campaigns and continuous public education on health. That's public health for you! That's why you won't find anyone selling meat in an open air maket in Kenya (unlike some other countries in our region).

Now where was I? Well, covidiots mna chida na siyo ya nguo. Ile akili mantumia kwa vichwa zenu ni ndogo kuliko kangumu! Fungueni macho!
