CHRISTIAN DRUG

Post-colonial African countries want to develop, but the big question is: Develop from what to what? Where is the energy for that development? From Christianity or Islam? For the clarity of my argument, let me focus on Christianity in Kenya with a claim that 80 percent of Kenyans are Christians. Christianity preach that God created thing the way they are. Therefore, we should accept God’s will and creation. But how much has Christianity contributed to our pace of development forward or backwards?

Has Christianity been employed to make the community passive, unindustrious, uncreative and unadventurous? They say adventure is the mother of invention. Does Christianity encourage that formular of development or does it keep quiet about the importance of being adventurous? How adventurous and creative are we today?
The most damaging effect that the Christian drug has over its many believers is evident everywhere. The drug has gotten into the blood stream of most of its believers, rendering a big part of the society without much confidence in the utility of the dynamics of human brains. As it were, as a teacher, Christianity is busy teaching but come the examination day, it sits for the examination on its students’ behalf.
Christian followers are prone to laying blames of their weaknesses and failures on one particular force. Satan, the evil force. The destroyer. The tempter and deceiver and the enemy of God. Ironically, God has given Satan immense power for making everybody vulnerable and, as the Bible says, Satan is a thorn in the flesh of God. There are many rapists who have claimed it was Satan who drove them to the crime. Jehovah witnesses claim that the world is ruled by Satan.
As a boy when I went to church and got saved and thereafter thrown into the Christian dip to come out from the other side baptized, I was made to vow to bear the cross of Jesus and preach gospel to the world and that I should have absolute fear of God in in everything. As it were, the sight of God should make me tremble instead of screaming with jubilation. God is fire and fire must be feared. If you don’t fear God, God will destroy you.
When I tried to ask why I should fear the God of absolute love instead of simply loving and respecting him the way I respected my parents and more because God is the creator of my parents, the answer was repeatedly, “You must fear God with all your powers.” I was told that, come the end of the world and the Judgement Day, God will cease from being all-loving and all-forgiving then turn against anyone who had ever wronged against Him. God will punish them all with total destruction and the innocent ones will be compensated with everlasting life in paradise.
Christianity brings us up to believe we should forget about all earthly things, then invest our treasures in heaven where there are no moths and where rust can’t reach them. Christianity does not encourage us to have absolute trust in our brains because our brains are the workshop of Satan. Instead, we should believe in absoluteness only in God but not brains which, out of the box, man has exploited in making the wingless human beings become the fasted flier on earth. Instead of surrendering yourself to the might of brains, should surrender yourself to God. This explains why once upon-a-time one French woman refused flying, saying, if God wanted humans to fly, He would have given them wings.
The Bible says whatever we pray for God will grand it to us. The Bible adds, “Do not worry about what you will eat tomorrow because God, who feeds birds, will feed you.” That is, it is actually God but not myself, who should be absolutely responsible for my welfare. This doctrine drugs you to think less, fight less and think in short terms.
No wonder colonial masters were ambitious building everywhere as sanctuaries where people should surrender to the power of Jesus Christ as their personal savior from all afflictions. The Bible helped colonials to tune down people’s ambition in order to become passive and victims to colonialism. The Bible planted seeds of submission when it says all authorities come from God. Hence, colonial authority had God’s endorsement. Think less, create less, worry less but trust that God shall to take care of you and bless you abundantly.
Does Christianity prepare us for facing future wars and calamities? Does Christianity tell us to bear the responsibility of making the planet a better place for living? No. In fact, it undermines that by promising a better place for us in heaven. The Christian drug reminds us that the world is a temporary place. It was the same drug which made the musician Jim Reeves sing, “This world is not my home.” Christianity doesn’t encourage us to think much about the moon, leave alone going to the moon and beyond? It doesn’t encourage us to explore the universe. It doesn’t encourage us to build paradise on earth. It says, “Sit and wait and prepare yourself for the coming of your personal savior, Jesus Christ, who will free you from all forms of earthly problems. Jesus will take you to heaven, where you will live with God an everlasting life of absolute happiness.”
What wonderful promise for lazy thinkers and lazy does! How much should you expect from a leader injected with that drug? It is a drug of submission and dependency. It created the mood with which Africans became independent only to become defendants of developed countries. Africans are created for consuming what has been produced outside. While they wait for the return of their messiah to deliver them to paradise, African governments are thirsty for development donations from their former colonial masters. If you want to gain the kingdom of God, all that you need is to surrender your life to God and avoid doing bad things which would annoy God.
While Americans are planning to go to Mars and beyond, Africans are preparing themselves for the return of Jesus Christ to fly them to paradise where they will live with God. Christian drug tells them, “Don’t you worry about your poverty. The arm of God will feed you. Just accept things the way they are and enjoy your life. Remain vigilant that any attempt for you to question God’s actions is nothing else but a temptation from Satan. Drive Satan to hell. Everything good is God and everything bad is Satan.”
There are two excellent examples in Kenya to show you what Christian culture has done to the community. Areas in Kenya which were pioneers in establishing Christianity include Machakos and Central Kenya, the Kikuyuland. Today these areas have the biggest concentration of churches. However, in spite of that, they are the most culturally destroyed and insecure places for living. They produce the biggest number of psychopaths and anti-socialists, where Christian culture has seduced too many families into immorality. Those are the communities which have contributed most in prostitution. Kikuyu and Akamba prostitutes are abundant in Kenyan cities, where you will hardly find a Maasai, Kalenjin, Luo, Borana prostitute. Christianity founder communities thrive robbery, broken down family values, divorces, murderers flagged by Mungiki killings. Yes, materially, those communities have advanced in comparison with other non-zone Christian foundations. But living has become a nightmare in spite of their success. The Christian drug has really taken effect in those places. The Christian drug is comparable to the Viagra. Or should it be renamed spiritual Viagra.
Is Christianity or religion the machine for human social development? How secure is the Italian nation, blessed with the headquarters of the most powerful Christian arm, the Catholic Church in Rome? The meeting point of the Bible and Koran is in the Middle East, the most insecure countries on earth, where Palestinians and Jews murder one another and take bath in human blood in the name of God and Allah. Jihad. Read the Bible and find out how murderous the biblical God is, away from the God of love we talk about. The merciless God of vengeance who should be feared most… Christianity and Islam are the most powerful social industries in the world. They control the radar of human development. What do Africans have with which to fight against those forces coming from outside?

Actually religion is tied to people's culture and culture is tied to people's roots. When you adopt another man's religion, you must adapt their culture. That leaves you more or less a mental slave. For example islam was a religion of the Arab world. To be a successful muslim, you have to study Arabic because the Quran cannot be aptly translated into English.

Hapo Kwa whores you are wrong, we have whores from every tribe in Kenya, people like you who haven't travelled past Mlolongo and Ruiru can claim that. I have lived and worked in 10 counties in different parts of the republic and can tell you it's bullcrap.
On Christianity and stifling of economic development, that's also a blatant lie, Calvinism is what led to industrial revolution in Europe, it's only that your brand of Christianity believes in miracles going to pray in subukia shrines, Lejo Maria area and katoloni instead of working and being productive.
You can go and chew on hooves as you smoke bhang as usual.

In Africa christianity has bred a culture of laziness and the inability to take personal responsibility of our actions. All we do is blame forces of nature, which humans in other continents have learnt to respect and live with or bad leadership which we actually elect and tolerate.
