Changing Career @45

I have always felt that am stuck in the wrong career. So far, it has provided the basic necessities for this life, but I can't fathom continuing like this for the next 25 yrs. Am thinking of switching to something I think I can enjoy. This will mean going back to class for 1 year, fulltime. Am ready to invest time and resources for this. My motivation is to get a career I will be able to handle even late in life. Something I will enjoy doing until I become too old. Something that will make my mornings enjoyable, not like the current ones. Am inspired by stories of guys who made it late in their lives. Like the KFC guy. Or Henry Ford. Or Duffield.

Wadau, is it doable ama ni midlife crisis inasumbua? Anyone tried it?

I have an uncle who worked at Ipsos (it went by some other name in earlier years) for years and lived in deplorable conditions. The guy left at 50 and started a business, hit it big and bought properties all over the place.

The key, from what I learnt, is finding something that works for you, and you will be happy doing, even if it means struggling with it for some time before it starts laying eggs.

2 years ago I did a 180 from employment in the development sector to farming and wish I had switched much earlier. Despite a few hiccups here and there, there is no joy like dictating the course of my life.
So what am I saying.... Go for it, life is too short and precious to be wasted in things you don't like
