This evening I was helping the young Zapp with some English oral homework . Armed with a dictionary for better understanding tukaanza only to find that some of the words he was supposed to learn are not in the approved KICD Oxford dictionary . Strange enough the textbook with the questions and the dictionary are from the same publisher . The words are not new words either - granary and scarecrow .
Very inconsistent syllabus not only in English but other subjects too .Forcing us to buy books that don't have the content that the students are supposed to learn .

I always say visit Tanzania and the rest of Africa and you will truly apprciate the Kenyan 8-4-4 system. It's truly world class and the reason why many researchers prefer Kenyan academic writers and the evidence is out there.Look at the strides made by Kebyan educated fellas in the world arena. It was an almost perfect system that made us the most educated coutry in Africa. All we needed was add 2-3 subjects focused on innovation and technology while greaty improving on the existing woodwork subjects. Then improve on the national coverage and ensuring every child manages to go through the system.

This CBC thing in the end will just be a total waste of time and money. The current kids suffer the most, i have even started to notice some kids are really daft nowadays.
