China has long wanted to break the Boeing/Airbus duopoly and it seems like she has succeeded-at least in the narrow body category. The plane was recently certified and even though it used 40 % of components from the West it is such a herculean effort that few attempt .

The interesting bit is how Indians have been hating on the plane and reading their comments on YouTube , Reddit, and Twitter is something that should be studied by psychologists .A whole nation shitting on another's efforts to better itself.

If the worst came to, all those systems can be sourced from alternative manufacturers elsewhere. The main reason for their selection is cost and the fact that most have set up manufacturing operations in China. But China will undoubtedly work to replace them when time is right.
