They’ve been approved for emergency use. There’s a reason why emegency use is not equal to full approval. If, as they say, the processes are similarly rigorous, there would be no need for full approval.
From the article, the difference only seems to be the time of observation after vaccination.
However, with a disease like this, I dont believe the world had the luxury of time to conduct tests in the same way for the other vaccines. When you think back to this time last year when Italy was in trouble, the speed of the rollout was necessary.

True and this is exactly the point. The time of observation makes the difference.

While I do not understand the inner workings of spike proteins or mRNA, i would side with the overwhelming majority of the science body that will tell me the vaccine is safe. I am sure there are learned people in the field that would dissent with the majority. Same way i am certain there are structural engineers who would say that the house i leave in is liable to crumble any time now.
Science is not perfect, whatever solutions and models scientist come up with must be repeatable.
I am told the vaccine is safe by doctors and biochemists I have interacted with and whom I believe have no reason to lie to me.
So the opinions of some experts on the fringe telling me the opposite of what the majority of experts in the same field are saying will not carry any weight for me especially because I do not have the education, training and expertise to determine the issue at hand.
This is true. And that’s why some of these things should remain personal décisions.

It's always been a personal decision even with the childhood vaccines. but i get your point.
However, for people in places like the US who are now being prevented from going to public places because they made that personal choice, have no locus to complain.

Even in Kenya government has made the vaccine mandatory for its staff, which I disagree with.

The risk of those unvaccinated contracting the disease is greater than those who are vaccinated. There is a possibility of those who have been vaccinated to still catch the disease. So it makes sense to have everybody who works in the same area to be vaccinated so as to minimize the risk.

Considering you have been vaccinated against measles, mumps and rubella, how comfortable are you with someone exhibiting any of the symptoms of any of those diseases showing up to work in your office on a daily basis?

If the benefits truly outweigh the risks, why is there need for compulsion. Why is the government taking away peoples agency. In any case, how has government protected anyone from contracting the Covid while on the streets or in a bus or at the back of a police land cruiser for flouting curfew rules.

The compulsion is there because there are people who would still choose not to take it for whatever reason. The government isnt taking away your agency because you can still choose refuse to get the jab. its just stopping you from potentially harming others because of your choice.

Havent all the approving bodies, international and national done so already? How else are there rollouts of the vaccines if each nation's medical/health and governing bodies hasnt approved them?
these guys are trolling. England vaccinated it's population, now fans are back in stadiums, no surge in covid cases.

But on the other hand, I saw taliban leaders with no masks on, does it mean they're immune ? Did India finally bring it under control or herd immunity worked?

I read a study this morning suggesting that vaccine efficacy of the Pfizer vaxxine reduced at a rate of 6% per month..suggesting the need for (possibly perpetual) ‘booster’ shots.
Nothing unusual.
Booster shots for influenza, tetanus, pneumonia, and meningitis are given all the time.
As is anti-rabies vaccine for animal handlers.

I asked a doctor about the flu booster shots and why I’ve never gotten one. Apparently, it’s given to people at the cold areas only in western countries not in Africa or Kenya.

Maybe I can ask, in Kenyan context,do you give flu booster shots annually?
i‘ve also not gotten any booster shots for any of the other vaccines you’ve mentioned (tetanus, menegitis, and pneumonia). Should I be getting them, and how often?

Recommended every 6 months as the virus keeps mutating.

Should I be getting them, and how often?
Your healthcare provider is best positioned to answer this based on your own unique circumstances.

She lied to many then, coz it was a whole webinar.

I know you’ve mentioned flu vaccines are recommended semi-annually, do you actually give them to people at that frequency generally or is it a case by case context.
Also, are the flu vaccines useful in Kenya, in the sense that most people I know get flu, take flu gone or wait for it to end, and are generally okay?

Serikali haina pesa ya kununua hizi vitu, its left to individuals.
As for 'usefulness', 100% proven.
