Don't think so, room calibration is something done once during set up and all for 5 or so minutes. Doesn't make sense dropping a $billion+ for. And it's not even proprietary.

Yes, but look at their well known subsidiary Samsung Electronics and you can see their acquisitions in this space feed and build off each other in terms of chips, drivers etc. Masimo is medical product focused, and with revenues of just over a billion USD, dishing out 1. Billion, 800M of which is debt. How do they create synergy?

The tech that goes into sound is more complex than simply calibrating rooms.

Plus, it's still wave tech. Hence my suggestion on imaging technology patents. It uses sound waves for imaging purposes, in medical equipment.
