Business idea required

I know this is the wrong way to go about it, that the right way is to identify a gap and combine skills and resources to fill it so as to provide goods or services that are not easy to come by otherwise.

But in this case, there's available space in a permanent building in a small rural market, and want to keep someone busy who would be otherwise idle.

What kind of ideas would work for fast moving goods that is easy for one person to manage that is not wholesale/retail shop, alcohol or hardware store, and one can put in an investment of a couple hundred thousand KES or so.

Or is there a business model of providing storage for distributors of goods in an area? I've thought of setting up a Copia agency given there's none in the area but I don't know if there are any decent returns on that.

Main goal is to keep someone busy who would otherwise be idle and utilize currently unused space

One,scant details this question of yours has. But...

Kama ni kwa akina @Abba weka posho mill...

Copia in Central would fall flat on its face, actually it would not even take off the starting blocks...

Do they drink packaged or raw milk in the area?

Collection of milk for brookside?

Bread distribution?

Yeah I understand it's quite scant on details I can try think of ways of making it more specific. Just hoping someone will drop an idea that will steer me in the right direction.

They drink a mixture of raw and packaged, depending on whether one has a lactating cow. Milk and bread distribution in the area seems already well covered with the existing shop network.

One idea I've thought about is small solar goods like lamps, radio, phone chargers etc. Anyone knows the intricacies involved in this?

Distribution /Wholesale. This business needs you to spot fast moving goods in the retail environment and bring it cheaper to them,When i say cheaper i mean even 10, People in dukas are very disloyal to their suppliers. Find something retailers source themselves directly and save them the hussle by bringing it to their doorstep. Stuff like carrier bags,Sweets,Soft drinks ,Milk etc are a good starting point.

Also you dont want to give the person ownership of the business on a silver platter. Start he/She off as an employee and create a structure where they can get part ownership says 30% of the business after a certain period that way at least they are motivated to work towards something. Giving it to them on a silver platter will make them ungratefull and take the opportunity for granted.
