Hekaya alert.
Baba Josephine, or Wa-fine as we called him was a church elder at AIC Kamae. His wife was a chairlady of the Ushirika wa Wake Wakristo. Their son was undertaking theology at Moffat Bible college at Kijabe. A very christian family by all standards.

Wa-fine fell ill and the story was that he fell and injured his spine. He could not walk.

The true story is that Wa-fine was a gathenge. He was seeing someone's wife. Not a wife of goats per se, but still a woman who had a kept a man at her house. They would meet when the guy is away and Wa-fine would chew things proper. Soon, the guy got wind of it (snitches everywhere). He set a trap. As usual, Wa-fine went and ate his things. Then the door opened and he was found in the act by the guy and his 4 friends. He got a dog's beating and was castrated. They then called the sons to come for their father. He ailed for around one year then died.

The hypocrisy that I witnessed during his funeral was satanic. Men of the cloth praising him and saying how he served God to the end.

But we ate properly after the funeral.

Alafu since it was a lunch date with the Mrs, the servers would continually whisper albeit too loudly that eating such balls will make my bedroom prowess Imara Kama Simba 😂
Alishika the coded message why you were serving her juicy nyee?

@Aviator,
I am of the opinion that you have judged this Guy too harshly.

We ought to remember that we are human and therefore prone to diverse trials and temptations that come our way.
It is not possible to always maintain the discipline and rigours required of the Offices we hold. People do trip a lot.
But that is not to say that the Guy was not serving God to the end. Mistakes do happen but the deepest intentions and desires to serve God should be celebrated rather than the mistakes, accidentally or foolishly, committed in service.

Just imagine with me for a second here @Aviator. What if the Guy didn’t meet his demise this way and was secretly stealing from the Church? Would people have judged him more kindly and understanding?

I appreciate religion for moderating behaviour, reducing the level of savagery between men. But the hypocrisy in some of its proponents is off-putting.
Like this man who once said, rather sanctimoniously, " Arakuire oro uguo ta kigui tondu ndarathiaga kanitha"...(He died like a dog coz he wasn't a churchgoer".)
