That is not how it works! Why would a new entrant price their products in conjuction with other participants, yet they are trying to build a consumer base?

True but most people assume it’s gonna be reasonably cheap.
Say gas is 3k and new entrant says 2800. It is cheaper than 3k but still not reasonably cheap for most of the population .
