Jurgen Klopp has announced he is leaving Liverpool at the end of the season.

Klopp has explained that he is "running out of energy."

"I will leave the club at the end of the season," Klopp said in an emotional video posted by the club. "I understand that it's a shock."

The 56-year-old took charge at Liverpool in 2015.

Klopp has won six trophies with the Reds, including the Premier League title in 2020 and the Champions League trophy the year before.

Liverpool currently lead the Premier League and reached the Carabao Cup final in midweek, while they are still in the Europa League and the FA Cup.

Klopp signed a two-year extension to his contract at Anfield in April 2022, which was scheduled to keep him at the club until 2026.

In full - Klopp's explanation for leaving Liverpool in his own words
"I can understand that it's a shock for a lot of people in this moment, when you hear it for the first time, but obviously I can explain it - or at least try to explain it.

"I love absolutely everything about this club, I love everything about the city, I love everything about our supporters, I love the team, I love the staff. I love everything. But that I still take this decision shows you that I am convinced it is the one I have to take.

"It is that I am, how can I say it, running out of energy. I have no problem now, obviously, I knew it already for longer that I will have to announce it at one point, but I am absolutely fine now. I know that I cannot do the job again and again and again and again.

"After the years we had together and after all the time we spent together and after all the things we went through together, the respect grew for you, the love grew for you and the least I owe you is the truth - and that is the truth."

He admitted it himself.
I see Xabi Alonso leaving Leverkusen for Liverpool while Barcelona can only dream of Super Mik Mikel Arteta.
Lisemalwo lipo, na Kama halipo, laja. Arteta will walk away probably next season if Arsenal don't win any trophies.

He'll have been on the hot seat for about 5 years and rebuilt the entire squad and culture of the club. It takes time and I'm glad the Arsenal board didn't kick him out like the joke of a club that is Manchester Rural ;)

Yet Alonso is doing wonders in Germany, even beat Bayern yesterday yet he has been there less than 2 years. Arteta must go if he doesn't win a trophy this season. Ngoja ngoja huumiza matumbo ya wa arsenali
