Residents of Karii and Kandundu villages in Kiharu - Murang'a County are under attack from botflies that are laying eggs and growing into larvae inside the human flesh.
Livestock are not spared either.
These flies are believed to emanate from the county government dumping site nearby.

Botflies, also known as warble flies, heel flies, and gadflies, are a family of flies technically known as the Oestridae. Their larvae are internal parasites of mammals, some species growing in the host's flesh and others within the gut.

ukiwa wapi?
Some area where there were those persistent flies. And they are normally not the normal flies, ikikuuma you will feel it, and after some time start feeling something growing inside your skin. It looks like a pimple but on close inspection, you realise there is something else growing....
