Naskianga financing nashikwa na tetemeko...

Makes plenty of sense to me.

There's no use committing all your savings and your kiosk's capital to buy a car of your dreams.

Likewise, there's no need of going to Equity who can only finance jalopies that have already been imported. Importers in Kenya mostly go for the most Spartan of base models and then sell them exorbitantly.

You had better import a car with specifications of your choice - low mileage and such - than be forced to buy 180,000-kilometre mileage base-model car for a price higher than that of a new car.

Weka make and model tuone kama utasaidika .Otherwise kama uko na time use the auction option .It will take longer but utapata what you want .Ideally you should looking at 2015 or newer unit if your opt for auction.

Mimi nimezoea yard lakini naona moto hapa kwa importation. I would advice holding off or buying a 2015 sometime in december so you can get a favorable custom duty fee in January ikifika.

If you can pay in dollars the better otherwise the bank will rip you off on the exchange rate although sometimes you can bargain.

Naona duty is almost the same value as the vehicle naskia kulia. Yenyewe fuack Kenya manze.

The best time to get the lowest duty and have a large pool of vehicles to purchase is between August and October assuming you are doing a direct import .This period next year will have a pool of vehicles manufactured between Jan 2015 and August 2015 which will have the 70% depreciation which is the lowest.
