3m is manageable abroad, Kisha you have warranty and consumer protection. Good roads mostly, that car last for ages then resales here for 1.5m after 6 years. Who's fooling who?

Omwami unaishi majuu? Consumer protection huku kwetu? For that alone the 3m is disqualified. Otoyo 6-yr olds are dependable for all those years the Brits get, bora you service on time. BTW, I'm not a fan of premios or Toyota for that matter, but 3m can get you a fine 2016 Harrier.

true.. thats about 20, 000 pounds if a pound is worth ksh150.. its actually on the lower end of such cars

OK seems too complicated for you, remove the consumer protection and work with warranty only.
You can't compare a new car to a used on, 6 years used for that matter.
After 5 years, naturally, regardless of how well maintained, you've checked in to the required maintance age.

Niko Kenya baba. Stop using big words za majuu. Coz of the tax regime, a cheaper 6yr-old SUV is better than a brand new kadudu on all fronts here! Both can last 15 yrs if I please. At least for me.

It's better but it depends with luck most after kitu 3 years start demanding for "new " used parts , kuna jamaa wanaangaishwa na gearbox, mara engine etc but you get a brand new polo,proton or mobius for 1.5 , you'll have peace of mind for 5 good years or more and your pockets will be much better. My bro went to subaru kenya to ask for a new engine for his 8 year old "new " import which had knock, alipewa quotation ya 700k. He opted for a second hand import at 250k with no warranties, aliambiwa tu ikiianza kusumbua letaa tukuangalilie
