Avoid malaya wa Nyairofi

Ole Waru

There is a place in town huwa sipendi kupitia kwa sababu ya memories. When i first came to Nyairofi very many years ago, life was very tough. I was naive, broke and full of gardenness. No persons could look at me twice, and whenever I threw lines even to girls of bar, they would fold their lips and remove a demeaning snear. As such, dry spell was part of me and I was part of it.
One day I passed by a place in town and saw persons advertising their goodies. I had been told to fear trappers more than I fear police, but those thighs were very confusing. When one noticed that i was getting interested, she closed one eye for me and beckoned me to come closer using one finger. I for once felt important in the eyes of a persons.
...Fast forward, she told me she will charge me 500 and I will go back home singing her name. I thought why not. It is this us until we got to some dimly lit room. I was told to pay first and i removed 500. When I wanted to touch nyonyo, she told me hiyo nafaa niongeze pesa. I said let it stay. I started giving her stories of giant as I removed my trouser, but she wasn't interested..she just lay there waiting. Then removed makobosto and took my time checking expiry date bla bla and said "hii type ya makobosto siipendi natakanga ile studded"..as I wore it.
Just then, she got up and told me; "na wewe unakaa tu kusumbua mtu..you look disturbancing" I asked how. She then said "btw ata time yako imeisha..kama unataka kukula uongeze pesa"..she said as she returned her green thuruari (first and last time nishawai ona thuruari ya green). I tried to tell her ooh hiyo ni kuniibia ooh..She told me kama nimeibiwa nikimbie pale Central. When she wanted to get out, I stood at the door with my makobosto still on and demanded nirudishiwe pesa yangu ama nipewe haki yangu. She told me because of wasting her time again, she was charging me another 200. I asked her "kae wina ngoma"..and she replied "ìì dìnacio" and started shouting "wewe lipa pesa yangu wewe...nilipe ama nipige nduru." My balls shrunk. There was a knock at the door.."weh Shiro, uko poa ama tuingie"..and i could hear they were like 5 persons at the door. In fear, I shouted back, "tuko poa namlipa sa hii" as I reached for a 200 note. She took it and opened the door, as I reached for my clothes. The persons there started saying na mbona ulikuwa umekataa kulipa?.unataka kufinywa hizo mak***?. I said NO apologetically as i reached for the exit, with very heavy insults accompanying me.
I only realized i still had my makobosto on nikiwa kwa matatu. These trappers of downtown Nyairofi are fire to bask from far. Even if dry spell becomes unbearable, I would rather stick my kababa in ice to cool it down than go there.

Kumbaff wewe nûgû! Hii ni biashara ya willing buyer and willing seller. No one is being used as an object.
Do you think a woman with food, shelter and clothing would willingly sell herself. No woman wants to become a prostitute it's circumstances that force her down that route, na nyinyi wanaume ndio shida
