I still do not understand why people should handle the Covid dead like some super-contagious cargo. From the handling, one would be excused to think a dead Covid patient is more dangerous than a live one. Who exactly came up with the procedures? Why should the coffin be sprayed with disinfectant every few minutes? Would it not be reasonable to simply contain the body in some leak-proof bag and then handle the coffin as you would any other? Maybe I am growing old but if those in charge of public health do not see the irony, it might explain our ‘robust’ health system.

The spraying guy...he has a job and needs to be seen doing it.
I think the undertakers also need reassurance hence the elaborate precautions else no one would want the job.

You are growing old. That's the only answer.

I also don't see why we should have such a superfluous protocol when the body is already sealed in two body bags and shut in a casket. If keeping 2m distance from a breathing covid-19 positive patient is not very risky, how could a cadaver in a sealed body bag infect you?

It doesn't make a lot of sense to me, but its widely practiced around the globe.
